How to get Dubai Airport lounge access

There are a few ways you can pay to get lounge access at Dubai Airport, and which is right for you generally depends on how frequently you fly.

Paid Access

Of course, you could access a Dubai airport lounge by paying when you arrive, or by booking online, which means you can skip the queue and get priority if the lounge is near capacity.
This can be a good choice if you rarely travel or don’t have a credit card that offers complimentary access – which we’ll cover later.
Prices for Dubai Airport lounges can vary from around USD 50 to USD 175, depending on the lounge you book, the duration you stay for and any extra services you might use – like shower facilities.

Memberships

If you travel frequently, it may be worth considering an independent lounge membership programme. For an annual fee, these programmes give you access to airport lounges worldwide, including those at Dubai Airport.
Many offer different tiers with extra perks such as guest passes and discounts on additional facilities within the lounges. You can expect to pay roughly USD 300 for up to 10 lounge visits per year, while more frequent use and extra perks could see that fee rise to around USD 450.

Airline reward programmes

If you fly with one airline regularly and take part in a loyalty programme, you will often be able to get discounted access to airport lounges, including those at Dubai Airport.
You can earn ‘points’ by booking flights, hotel stays and other services that are associated with the program, which can then be ‘spent’ on lounge access at Dubai Airport.
These programmes vary, so check with your specific airline to see how many bookings you’ll need to accumulate to gain discounted lounge access.
