About Geneva Airport

Geneva Airport is Switzerland’s second major gateway, flying to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States. It is approximately 7km from the centre of Geneva.

Geneva Airport terminals

Geneva Airport is served by two terminals, including a unique French sector for passengers using the airport from the French side of the border without needing to enter Swiss territory. The terminals and French sector operate as follows:

Terminal 1

Hosts the majority of flights from Geneva.

Terminal 2

Only used during the winter season for regional flights to local skiing destinations in France, Switzerland and Italy.

French sector

Because of the airport’s position on the Swiss-French border, a special French sector allows passengers to take internal flights to France without having to complete Swiss border customs. Both arriving and departing passengers can use this service if they are coming from or travelling onward to France. Please note, we do not provide Meet & Greet or Lounge services in the French sector.
