Camel Ride

A ride on an Arabian camel is an unforgettable sample of desert life and Bedouin culture. Our Camel Ride experience offers an incredible morning with one of Arabia’s greatest companions, complete with wildlife spotting and a tranquil lakeside stop.

Your experience will begin with pick-up from your hotel or residence in Dubai and a drive to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR) in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle.

Here you’ll be greeted by the majestic Arabian camel that will transport you across the desert sands. After taking a seat atop your ship of the desert – as camels are locally known – you'll embark on a breathtaking journey through the DDCR’s beautiful rolling plains.

Led by an expert camel shepherd at a calm, steady pace, you’ll have plenty of time to spot the fascinating wildlife that inhabits the desert from your raised vantage point.

After a magical 45-minute ride, you’ll reach our designated breakfast spot next to the DDCR’s charming lakes. At this peaceful location, you’ll enjoy striking vistas of the morning sun over the desert, potentially see more local wildlife and snap Instagram-worthy pictures.

You’ll also be served a tasty breakfast box - or strawberries in the summer months - with date juice or bubbly, rounding off an enjoyable break.

You can then embark on a return 45-minute camel ride back through the desert or be picked up from the lakeside and taken back to Dubai – it's completely up to you.

Either way, you’ll return to your hotel or residence in one of our air-conditioned 4x4 vehicles, armed with memories to last a lifetime and photos to match.
